About me

I'm a spicy food loving canivore (I love vegetarians, more meat for me). Since getting married I've enjoyed trying different recipes. I am now a mum of triplets so haven't been able to be as adventurous as I'd like, which is frustrating as I've really caught the baking bug over the past 2 years.

Favourite things to cook
Spicy food, especially meaty dishes, cakes
Family cooking traditions
Rice, rice and more rice. Also ground rice or gari with egusi soup.
Cooking triumphs
I made some rice and stew and my uncle thought that my mum had made it. Big compliment. Spiced honey chicken wings, as soon as I start eating them I cant stop. Chouquettes - I love them.
Cooking tragedies
It can only be one thing, casserole. I remember I was about 24 and I decided to make a casserole. I had never made one before and had no idea what I was doing. The veg and chicken where boiling nicely so I decided to add flour to thicken it up, big mistake. I just kept adding it until it was so thick and grainy and tasteless. My family have never let me forget this.
