Crispy Oven Chicken Wings

    Used the spices I had in my cupboard...and they turned out yummy !!! And so cheap to make.

    Serves: 2 

    • 3 tablespoons plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 2 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
    • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
    • 1 teaspoon chilli powder, or to taste
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 7-8 chicken wings (skins on)

    1. Preheat oven to 200 C / gas mark 6.
    2. Mix all ingredients except wings/butter in a strong plastic bag, then add wings and shake until coated well.
    3. Line your baking tray with foil and spread the butter over, this will give the wings their crispiness, add wings to the tray and cook for about 15 minutes then turn them over and cook for another 10 minutes or until crisp and cooked through.
    4. Transfer to a plate and enjoy!

    Make it healthier

    Leave out the butter and just cook the wings on the foil

    Other ideas

    Can also be put on the BBQ in summer. Also, you can double the ingredients for more wings.

    My only tweek was using Cajun spices rather than cayenne pepper. So easy to make. Quite quick. And a really tasty result.  -  10 Jun 2015
