    About this recipe: Sausage rolls with no pastry. Birdseye made somthing like this when my son was small but they had onion in it and he would not eat onions. So I made my own and they are still a favourite today 30 years later. Birdseye do not make them anymore.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 8 

    • 2 or 3 eggs
    • a little milk
    • breadcrumbs
    • 450g (1 lb) sausages

    Method
    Prep:20min  ›  Cook:40min  ›  Extra time:30min cooling  ›  Ready in:1hr30min 

    1. Scramble 2 or 3 eggs with a little milk in a non stick sauspan, no fat needed then. Let them get cold.
    2. Skin sausages and add to cold eggs and mix well. Divide into 8 or more depending how big you want them. From 1 lb of sausages I make 8.
    3. Reshape into sausages and roll in breadcrumbs. If mixture is dry roll in a little milk first but I find that is not needed.
    4. Cook them in the oven at 170 C / Gas 3. For 8 I cook for 40 minutes to make sure they are cooked. Do not add fat or oil. Turn 2 or 3 times while cooking.

    Serving suggestion

    Serve as you would sausages.

    Tip

    They also taste nice cold.
