About this recipe: Lovely chocolate brownies and you can replace the nuts with plain chocolate if you like it delicious!! Great for having a family dessert.

Makes: 12 large brownies

  • 150g (5 oz) butter
  • 150g (5 oz) brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g (3 1/2 oz) plain flour
  • 75g (3 oz) cocoa powder
  • 50g (2 oz) chopped nuts
  • 100g (3 1/2 oz) white chocolate, broken

Prep:20min  ›  Cook:40min  ›  Ready in:1hr 

  1. Preheat oven to 150 C / Gas 2. Grease 25.5x15cm (10x6 in) baking tin.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar. Gradually beat in eggs a little at a time. Then fold in the flour and cocoa powder. Stir in the nuts and the chocolate.
  3. Put mix in tin and cook in the oven for 40 minutes. Cut into squares while hot, remove from tin when cool.


Replace the nuts with plain chocolate if you like.
