Not salami - instead a fabulous chocolate log made with cocoa, nuts, condensed milk and a touch of cognac. No cook and one-bowl! This recipe makes three logs.
This freezes well. In theory you could make one big log... but it is much easier to handle in smaller amounts and it means you can have a chocolate salami in the freezer to take to parties or for guests, etc.
Absolutely yummy and rich. I made this for a cake sale and people just kept returning for more and to get the recipe - 27 May 2010
This was fairly easy to make. It slices OK but it just tastes like chocolate biscuits so I personally didn't think it was worth the effort. - 10 Jan 2011
This was very good and delicious, but I changed the recipe a little. I was a little confused with 2 cups cocoa that the recipe uses, so I used just one cup and it was perfect. I used Orange coconut cookies recipe from this site to substitute tea biscuits and I utilized all cookies. Then I used just about 1/2- 3/4 cup butter and no more. And I think the mixture was a little sticky even with this amount of butter. I added a little coconut flakes. Be sure to refrigerate the salami completely. - 16 Feb 2011 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
