    About this recipe: Very basic yet tasty side that goes well with roast chicken or kebabs. Any type of dried fruit can be used, such as sultanas or dried apricots, but I prefer cranberries.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 225ml (8 fl oz) water
    • 8 tablespoons bulghur wheat
    • 1 chicken stock cube
    • 1 knob butter
    • 30g (1 oz) dried cranberries

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Bring water to a boil in a pot, and mix in bulghur, stock cube and butter. Cover pot, reduce heat to low, and simmer 15 minutes.
    2. Fluff cooked bulghur with a fork, and gently mix in the dried cranberries.

    Tip:

    Easily make this into a vegetarian dish by using vegetable stock instead of chicken stock.
