About this recipe: Known as Strifto, this is a deliciously sweet pastry dessert made with nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg and filo pastry. Use your favourite chopped nuts. It's especially good served warm with honey or golden syrup.
I didn't have enough nuts, so I used a little chocolate to make the two cups of nuts. It really worked out well. It was also a very big hit with my kids!! This one's a keeper!! Thanks! - 14 Apr 2005 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
Tasted really good but I had enough filling for another roll (6 more phyllo sheets) - 12 Jan 2009 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
I made this recipe into triangles, and it still worked perfectly. It was my first time using phyllo, but after a few, I got the hang of it. Also, I added a few chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and Heath bits to the filling for variety. They were sinfully delicious! - 13 Aug 2008 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
