About this recipe: Very quick and a hit for anyone that likes banana type cakes. My wee brother that's 2.5 years loves this.

Great recipe - although there was no mention of when to add the margarine?! I added it after taking the mix off the heat and it melted in perfectly. Very moist cake and the kids loved it. Allow about 1hr 20mins in total. The prep is quick but you need to let the mix cool which does add a little extra time. - 19 Jan 2013

Had to change the recipe a bit as we didn't have any chocolate so added chocolate squeezy sauce in replacement for some of the golden syrup (plus a bit for good measure) and some extra coco and it worked great! It disappeared very quickly! - 13 Apr 2016
