    This is for the chocolate addict, not the slimmer! Always a success! After baking the outside will be quite crunchy, but the inside is yummy and chewy.

    Serves: 12 

    • 225g butter
    • 75g dark cocoa powder (Dutch is best)
    • 4 eggs
    • 450g caster sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 100g self-raising flour
    • 100g 60% chocolate, chopped
    • 100g chopped walnuts or pecans

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease an 8"x12" baking tin.
    2. Melt butter over low heat or in microwave.
    3. Add cocoa and stir until well blended and smooth; set aside.
    4. Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
    5. Sift flour over top and fold in gently. Fold in melted butter mixture.
    6. Fold in chopped chocolate and nuts. Tip into the prepared tin.
    7. Bake in the preheated oven till centre tests done with a skewer, about 30 to 40 minutes.
