About this recipe:
This is a great tasting, easy, homemade tiramisu dessert with a layer of chocolate - it's quick, easy and hassle free.
500ml carton fresh custard
75ml freshly made coffee, cooled
250g madeira cake, cut into chunky fingers
200g favourite chocolate bar, smashed into small pieces
50ml marsala wine or liqueur of choice (optional)

- In a large bowl, whip the marscapone and custard together until fully combined.
- Using half of the madeira cake fingers, dip them into the cooled coffee and wine or liqueur (optional). Then place them in the bottom of each of four serving glasses.
- Top with a little of the smashed chocolate, followed by a layer of the creamy marscapone and custard mixture.
- Repeat the layers once more, finishing with a scattering of chocolate for decoration. Chill until you're ready to serve.
