About this recipe: A tasty twist on the typical Spanish red sangria. Your summer isn't complete without this!


Serves: 8 

  • 2 tart apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 2 firm pears, peeled, cored and diced
  • 2 oranges, peeled and diced
  • 250ml gin
  • 125ml Grand Marnier
  • 2 bottles dry white wine, preferably Spanish, chilled
  • 350ml cava, chilled

  1. Place the apples, pears and oranges in a glass bowl. Pour over the gin and Grand Marnier. Marinate the fruit for 3 hours, or up to overnight.
  2. When ready to serve, pour the fruit mixture into a large pitcher or carafe and add the wine. Place some sangria into each serving glass 3/4 full, and top each glass with cava to serve.
