About this recipe:I have been making this for my children for over 20 years and now got my grandson eating it too. Many friends and the children love this and the sausage casserole recipe and it has gone to many families.
The ingredients are simple basic larder items and it makes a cheap meal ... however the end result was disappointingly tastleless even though I added a dash of worcester sauce to the concoction and used tasty pork and leek sausages. The consistency of the finished product was, in my opinion, too sloppy and could have been improved with perhaps adding some cornflour or tomato puree for a thicker sauce.
