My amazing meringues

    This two-ingredient delicious dessert will put a sweet taste in your mouth and wake you up.

    Serves: 24 

    • 12 eggs, whites only
    • 100g of sugar

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Whisk the egg whites till it resembles 'soapy' whipped cream. Add the 100g sugar gradually, whisking till the sugar is well combined.
    2. Place the mixture in a large-ish cake tin or make loads of little ones by using individual cake cases.
    3. Pop in a moderate oven for 10 minutes.
    4. Stick a cocktail stick through your meringues - if it comes out clear it means it's cooked. If egg is stuck to the cocktail stick put it back in oven and check it every 5 minutes.
    5. Once it's cooked let it cool for 10-20 minutes before serving.


    You can put food colouring in them for loads of exciting colours you could make a rainbow of meringues.
