Chocolate 6 minute pudding

    Easy, yummy, chocolaty and kids love it! We got it while on holidays in France. Enjoy with cream or ice cream.

    Serves: 7 

    • 120g self-raising flour
    • 120g caster sugar
    • 40g cocoa powder
    • 60g butter, melted
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 4 tablespoons milk
    • For the topping
    • 3 tablespoons demerara sugar
    • 120ml water

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
    3. Add the butter, eggs, vanilla and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
    4. Sprinkle the demerara sugar over the surface of the mixture.
    5. Boil the water then pour over the mix and pop it in the oven for 3 to 6 minutes.

    Serving suggestion

    If you're using this for when friends are up, pour into a greased pudding tin and add the topping on.
