About this recipe: A recipe rhat can be prepared with fresh, tinned or frozen peaches (which I always have in the house if I desire a taste of summer during the winter). I always serve it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.


Serves: 8 

  • 2kg ripe peaches, peeled
  • 500g blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons plain flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 90g plain flour
  • 90g butter
  • 170g dark brown soft sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • cinnamon to taste
  • nutmeg to taste
  • 80g porridge oats

  1. Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
  2. Mix fruit with 3 tablespoons of flour and sugar in a large bowl. Place in a buttered baking dish.
  3. Rub the 90g of butter into brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and oats until crumbly. Spread on fruit and bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes until it starts to bubble. Serve warm.
