Vanilla sugar is available in larger supermarkets, or you can make your own. In a pinch, substitute 1 to 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract for the vanilla sugar in the cake, and increase the sugar to 120g.
Really good recipe. I followed the recipe word for word but added a tsp cinnamon to the crumble mix. Incidentally, when making the crumble, i thought it was a little top heavy with the butter, but i trusted the recipe and it was spot on. Thanks so much for posting xxx - 22 Jan 2012
