About this recipe: This no-fuss cheese ball is fantastic served with crackers and some good drinks. You can vary the seasoning as you wish; for example, you could roll the ball in a mixture of your favourite dried herbs. Chill till serving.


Serves: 15 

  • 125g cream cheese
  • 245g Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 red pepper, finely diced
  • 4 dessertspoons gherkin relish
  • paprika
  • curry powder

  1. Combine the cheeses, onion, red pepper and relish, and roll into a ball using damp hands (it is a bit messy!). Then roll the ball in equal qualities of paprika and curry powder to coat. Chill till serving.
