About this recipe:Rich chocolaty rum flavoured balls. These are rolled in cocoa, but chocolate sprinkles or shavings also work a treat. To roll into balls, try using a melon baller to expedite the process substantially.
Makes: 24 balls
175g plain chocolate, chopped
100g caster sugar
3 tablespoons maple syrup or golden syrup
150g chopped walnuts
200g crushed vanilla biscuits
2 tablespoons cocoa

Melt chocolate over low heat and stir in sugar and syrup.
Blend in the rum add chopped nuts, mix well, then allow to cool a little. Then add crushed biscuits and mix well with a wooden spoon.
Chill in fridge until hard enough to roll mixture into balls.
Roll mixture into small balls and dust with cocoa, or even chocolate shavings, for decoration.
