I promise you, you will not be disappointed with these biscuit-like pastries. This recipe was given to me by a friend but I've slightly altered it. The icing at the end is optional, but don't skip it - it adds a nice final touch.
Decent recipe! I was a bit generous with the milk so my dough was quite sticky - but other than that the baking part of it was fun. They're quick to make and they smelled HEAVENLY when they were done. I was a bit disappointed in the taste - the dough dried out a tiny bit and they weren't sweet, really. But with the addition of the icing sugar they tasted nice. - 19 Feb 2016
Used different ingredients. I used margarine instead of butter - purely because of what i had in my kitchen, and it still turned out very yummy!!! Also used melted marg in the icing instead of boiling water and just drizzled it over just before serving. - 18 May 2010 (Review from Allrecipes AU | NZ)
LOVED this recipie, REALLY easy to make and tasted gorgeous! Only lasted all of 5 mins when out of the oven though... kids devoured them! Would be great as a lunch box treat too I think. Will make more, much more tomorrow! Thank you so much for this great cook! :-) :-) - 04 Jan 2011 (Review from Allrecipes AU | NZ)
