200g quality plain chocolate, broken into pieces
250g butter, chopped
375g dark brown soft sugar
5 tablespoons cocoa powder, sifted
160g plain flour, sifted
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
125g quality plain chocolate, broken into pieces
50g macadamia nuts, halved

Preheat oven to 160 C / Gas 3. Place 200g chocolate pieces and butter in a saucepan over low heat and stir until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
Place sugar, eggs, cocoa, flour and baking powder in a bowl. Add the melted chocolate mixture, whole chocolate pieces, macadamia nuts and combine. Do not overwork the mixture as it can make the brownies tough.
Pour mixture into a 20cm (8 in) square tin lined with baking parchment.
Bake for 50 minutes or until set. If checking with a skewer, the chocolate melted through will be gooey, but it will be cooked.
Cut into slices in tin. Serve warm with cream or great cold! Enjoy!
