    About this recipe: These vegetarian morsels are packed full of flavour and protein. They are also quick and easy to make. You can shape them into large burgers or small balls.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 (400g) tins chickpeas, drained and rinsed
    • 1 tablespoon tahini (sesame paste)
    • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 25g chopped parsley
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • salt and pepper
    • 1 squeeze lemon juice
    • oil to fry

    1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.
    2. Shape into burgers or tablespoon-sized balls. Shallow-fry in hot oil until golden on both sides.
    3. Drain on kitchen towels an serve.
