    About this recipe: These bars are super-easy to make and also gluten-free! It's deliciously rich, chocolately and tastes like fudge. Enjoy with a big mug of tea or coffee.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • Biscuit Base
    • 125g gluten-free flour
    • 75g desiccated coconut
    • 125g butter, melted
    • 100g caster sugar
    • 1 heaped tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
    • Icing
    • 120g icing sugar
    • 1 heaped tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
    • hot water as needed

    Method
    Prep:20min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. For the base: Mix together flour, coconut, butter, sugar and cocoa powder. Press into a baking tray. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Let cool.
    3. Meanwhile, make the icing. Mix together icing sugar and cocoa with just enough water to make a drizzly icing. Drizzle, then spread over the biscuit base. Let set, then slice and hide.

    Follwed the instructions to the letter, no mention of baking tin size, used gluten free flour as I am coeliac, was like a greasy biscuit, had to put the lot in the bin- yuk. Had to give one star as that is the minimum! - 16 Sep 2012
