Chocolate, Rum and Hazelnut Balls

    These little treats are easy to make and taste divine. Crushed biscuits are mixed with condensed milk, cocoa, coconut, hazelnuts and rum. They are fantastic as food gifts.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 20 

    • 1 (200g) packet Rich Tea® biscuits, crushed
    • 1 (397g) tin sweetened condensed milk
    • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 75g desiccated coconut, divided
    • 60g ground hazelnuts
    • 3 drops rum essence or 2-3 caps rum or to taste

    Method

    1. Mix together crushed biscuits, 1/2 the coconut, cocoa and hazelnuts.
    2. Add condensed milk and essence/rum. Stir and mix well.
    3. Roll 1 teaspoon of mixture into a balls. Coat in remaining coconut. Place on a tray and set in the fridge
    4. Keep refrigerated for up to 1-2 weeks.
