Beat together the eggs and milk until creamy and pale.
Melt 1/3 of the butter in a frying pan over medium-low heat.
Spread 6 slices of bread with peanut butter and 6 slices of bread with jam. Create a peanut butter-jam sandwich by sticking together 1 slice peanut butter bread with 1 slice jam bread. Repeat with the remaining bread.
Working in batches, dip two sandwiches into the egg mixture and pan-fry until golden, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with the other sandwiches and serve.
