    About this recipe: This is the perfect summer starter or appetiser. It's light, cool and very refreshing. Gin is gently heated with bruised caraway seeds, then served over ripe cantaloupe melon.

    Serves: 6 

    • 1-2 ripe cantaloupe melons, chopped into bite-sized pieces
    • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
    • 175-350ml dry gin or to taste

    1. Divide cantaloupe pieces in serving dishes or goblets.
    2. Lightly bruise caraway seeds with a mortar and pestle. Place them into a small saucepan with the gin. Warm the gin slightly, pour over the melon and serve immediately.
