This is a super-easy treat that's quick and easy to make. They squares are rich, sweet, chocolately and very fudgy. Enjoy anytime of the day.

Ingredients
Serves: 12
- 250g plain biscuits, roughly crushed
- 100g butter
- 100g caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 heaped tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 30g walnuts, chopped (optional)
- For the Icing
- icing sugar, as needed
- unsweetened cocoa powder, as needed
- 15g butter, melted
- water, if needed

- Melt butter, sugar, cocoa and vanilla in a saucepan. Add biscuits, walnuts and egg. Mix well over low heat, then set aside.
- Grease a baking tray with butter. Tip the mixture into the tin and press firmly down with the back of a spoon.
- To make the icing, stir together butter and enough icing sugar and cocoa to make a drizzly icing. If required, add a little water to get the consistency right.
- Drizzle the cake with chocolate icing whilst still warm. Cut into small squares before serving.
