Cinnamon palmiers

    Simple and delicious snacks that require just two ingredients to make! Puff pastry is rolled with cinnamon sugar, sliced and baked. For best results, use the highest quality butter puff pastry you can find.

    Serves: 10 

    • 4 tablespoons cinnamon sugar
    • 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry, thawed if frozen

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:15min chilling  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
    2. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on one side of pastry. Roll over with a rolling pin to press in the sugar. Turn the pastry over and repeat.
    3. Fold one edge of pastry towards the centre in 2cm folds. Repeat on the opposite edge. Both folded ends should meet in the middle, fold over and slice into 1.5cm pieces.
    4. Lay flat on baking tray about 2cm apart. Chill for 15 minutes.
    5. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy warm or cold.

    Cinnamon sugar

    Can be purchased in large supermarkets. It can also be made by mixing together 3 parts caster sugar to 1 part ground cinnamon.

    These were really tasty, I can't make enough of them >.< Although I use quite a bit more than just a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar so that I can taste it more.  -  24 Oct 2013
