No-Fuss Chicken Cacciatore

About this recipe: This tasty dish is incredibly easy to make. All of the ingredients are placed into a pan and simmered until the chicken is tender. Serve as is or with rice or pasta.


Serves: 6 

  • 1.5kg chicken legs or wings (with bones)
  • 2 (400g) tins chopped tomatoes
  • 2 red peppers, sliced into strips
  • 1 green pepper, sliced into strips
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 135g pitted black olives
  • pepper to taste

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Ready in:1hr10min 

  1. To a large pan with a snug fitting lid, add all ingredients except the olives.
  2. Simmer until chicken is loose on the bone, adjust seasoning and add olives.
  3. Heat through until olives are hot. Serve.
