    About this recipe: These cookies are similar to chocolate chip cookies, only with bigger chunks of chocolate. They are the perfect treat with a cup of tea, coffee or a glass of milk.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 10 

    • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
    • 250g unsalted butter, softened
    • 2 large eggs, beaten
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 155g plain flour
    • 4 tablespoons caster sugar
    • 165g dark brown soft sugar
    • 100g vanilla instant dessert mix, such as Angel Delight
    • 100g milk chocolate, roughly chopped
    • 100g white chocolate, roughly chopped

    Method

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line baking trays with baking parchment.
    2. In a bowl, mix together the flour and bicarbonate of soda.
    3. In a separate bowl, combine butter, sugar and dessert mix. Beat until smooth.
    4. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour mixture and chocolate.
    5. Roll into teaspoon size balls and place on prepared baking tray. Flatten slightly and bake for 8-10 minutes.
