Creamy celery soup

    40 min

A fantastic and easy recipe for celery soup. Celery, carrots and onion are boiled together in chicken stock, thickened and passed through a sieve before serving. You can also blitz the soup with the vegetables, if you prefer.

This was so quick and easy to make, though my measurements were not too scientific. I was cooking for only 6. Rather than passing the vegetables through a sieve, I chose the other option and blended it all. It was delicious.  -  01 Nov 2011

Made this four times now, quick and easy to make, Thanks for posting. I added in some dried ingredients that I had around; coriander, thyme, garlic and parsley too.  -  29 Jun 2013

What a delicious soup. I sweated off the vegetables first for about 20 minutes then added the stock and simmered for 10 minutes. I added the milk, seasoning and a little single cream I had in the fridge at the end and then blitzed it all. Lovely soup, will definitely make it again.  -  06 May 2014
