About this recipe: This omelette is completely different than an ordinary omelette, it's egg-free! Green pepper, red pepper, onion, mushrooms and steak is sauteed, then cooked with egg substitute.


Serves: 2 

  • 30g butter
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 red pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 7 mini portabello mushrooms, sliced
  • 225g beef rump steak, sliced
  • 125ml egg substitute

  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in green pepper, red pepper, onion and mushrooms. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir beef into the vegetable mixture and cook until evenly brown, 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Stir egg substitute into the mixture and cook 10 minutes or until firm.


Egg substitute can be purchased in health food stores or online.
