500ml chicken stock
4 large potatoes, diced
2 sticks celery, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1/2 onion, chopped
1 litre milk
350g Kraft processed cheese slices, unwrapped and chopped
4 tablespoons instant mash granules or flakes
4 rashers streaky bacon, cooked and crumbled

In a large pot combine the chicken stock, potatoes, celery, carrots and onion. Mix together and bring to the boil over medium heat. Cook 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Add milk; reduce heat to medium low and let simmer. Add cheese; when cheese is melted, slowly stir in instant mash granules until mixture is slightly thickened. Sprinkle bacon on top and serve hot.
