I used 2 cooked chicken breasts cut up in chunks. I added only skimmed milk as no cream in house and it still was creamy after blitzing it with a hand held blender. I just took half out the saucepan, blitzed each half separately and put them all together in pan again. I left little bits as I prefer that consistency. This was an easy recipe to prepare and as the previous reviewer said, it is just as creamy without the cream. Both my fussy kids cleared their bowls and said it tasted fantastic. For me I could have added a bit more salt and maybe even some sweetcorn and bacon. But for my first attempt at chicken soup it was tasty and I will definitely make it again. - 21 Apr 2013
This soup is just gorgeous, made it with leftover chicken and used half fat single cream, all the family love this soup even my very fussy teenager. Can see this being a regular in our house! - 28 Mar 2014
