About this recipe:A super-delicious, baked Italian pasta dish. Cannelloni tubes are stuffed with a mixture of sausagemeat, mozzarella and cream cheese, then topped with bolognese sauce and baked to perfection. Serve with a side salad or garlic bread, if desired.
225g cream cheese, softened
225g mozzarella cheese, grated
450g bolognese sauce, such as Dolmio

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add cannelloni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In a frying pan over medium heat, brown the sausagemeat; drain and keep hot. In a large bowl combine cream cheese, 225g mozzarella cheese and sausagemeat.
Stuff cannelloni with cheese and sausagemeat mixture; place in baking dish. Pour bolognese sauce over the top and sprinkle with extra cheese. Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Most cannelloni tubes nowadays do not need pre-cooking. Check the packet instructions.
Really excellent! A quick tasty recipe. I used dry pasta and cooked it covered for 30 minutes and then uncovered for 20 minutes. Let it rest for at least 10 minutes and you can't go wrong. - 12 Dec 2015
