Chocolate Mars Bar Icing

    This is a sweet and chocolatey icing, which is quick and easy to make. A Mars bar, butter, milk and vanilla are melted in the microwave, then beaten with icing sugar. Use to frost cupcakes, muffins or cakes.

    • 115g Mars bar
    • 50g unsalted butter
    • 1 tablespoon milk
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 150g icing sugar

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. Place Mars bar, butter, milk and vanilla in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on High for 30 seconds; stir. Heat for an additional 10 seconds, remove the bowl from the microwave and stir again. Add icing sugar and stir until smooth and creamy.

    YUMMY!!!!!!! This is a lovely recipe. It is very easy and quick to make and does not take too long to cool down in order to ice the cupcakes. It is a different twist to a chocolate icing and I will definitely make this again soon. Tastes great on both chocolate and vanilla cake.  -  25 Sep 2012
