    About this recipe: A highly flavoured sprouts recipe. Brussels are marinated with tomatoes and red onion in a French dressing, then sauteed in a pan over the barbecue. It's a great side dish to any meal.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 450g frozen Brussels sprouts, thawed
    • 2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    • 1/2 red onion, chopped
    • 125ml French dressing
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:2hr marinating  ›  Ready in:2hr25min 

    1. In a medium bowl , mix Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, red onion, French dressing, salt and pepper. Cover and let stand at room temperature approximately 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    2. Preheat an outdoor barbecue for high heat.
    3. Transfer Brussels sprouts mixture to a heavy medium frying pan. Cover and cook on prepared barbecue 10 minutes. Remove the lid and continue cooking 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until Brussels sprouts are tender.

    This was spectacular, even my two year old loved it! I have made it exactly as is, which is wonderful but also added green pepper last time too and was great with that too and probably nearly any vegetable you can think of.
