    About this recipe: This pie brings together two classics - pecan pie and pumpkin pie. It's simple to make and tastes fantastic. Serve as a decadent dessert with whipped cream, if desired.

    Serves: 8 

    • 100g caster sugar
    • 50g melted butter
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 120g pecan halves
    • 1 (23cm) shortcrust pastry case

    1. Stir together one egg, pumpkin puree, 65g sugar and pumpkin spice. Spread over the bottom of the pastry case.
    2. Combine 2 eggs, golden syrup, 100g sugar, butter and vanilla extract. Stir in pecans. Spoon over pumpkin mixture.
    3. Bake at 180 C / Gas 4 for 50 minutes until filling is set.
