Raspberry margarita

    5 min

This margarita is a little different than the average margarita. Gold tequila is shaken with ice, sweet and sour mix and raspberry liqueur. It's fruity and refreshing - the perfect drink to enjoy any day of the year.

    • 125ml sweet and sour mix
    • 3 tablespoons raspberry flavoured liqueur

    1. Salt the rim of a large margarita glass. To do so, pour salt onto a small plate, moisten the rim of the glass on a damp towel and press into the salt.
    2. In a cocktail mixer full of ice, combine tequila, sour mix and raspberry liqueur. Shake vigorously and strain into salt rimmed glass.

Made these for my mom and I and my hubby (who normally doesn't like fruity drinks) kept stealing mine!! Great tasting, doesn't taste like there is any alcohol in it!!!  -  27 Apr 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

This was my "try a new drink" choice tonight. I agree with the other reviewers, a little heavy on the raspberry. If I make this again, I will cut back on the raspberry liqueur a bit. Definitely different. Nice for a warm day like today. I would have never thought of putting raspberry liqueur and tequila together, that's for sure.  -  28 Sep 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

Strong Raspberry flavor, too strong for me, reduce raspberry and use more tequila or just reduce.  -  30 Dec 2007  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
