    15 min

This is an extremely simple pasta recipe that I love to make when I don't really feel like cooking!

    Serves: 4

    • 1 medium tomato
    • 1/2 (500g) pack pasta (any shape will do)
    • 1 clove garlic
    • 1 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min

    1. Place the garlic clove in a pot of salted water, bring the water to boil and add the pasta. Cook until al dente. Drain well. Return the pasta to the pot it was cooked in.
    2. While pasta is cooking chop the tomato into small pieces and place them in a small bowl. Sprinkle the tomato chunks with basil and pour oil over the tomato. Place tomatoes in the pot with pasta. Toss well and eat while warm.

Altered ingredient amounts. It's easy and quick to make. I used a tbs of olive oil.  -  24 Jul 2008

Used different ingredients. Not bad. I used cherry tomatoes, halved, but otherwise followed the recipe as written.  -  24 Jul 2008

Love, love, LOVE this recipe. I used wholewheat spaghetti, sautéed the tomatoes for a few min, added white wine and cut back on the oil. So quick, and so tasty.  -  24 Jul 2008
