About this recipe: A simple, yet delicious salad made by tossing tuna with apple, in a seasoned mayonnaise salad dressing. This salad does well as a sandwich filler.


Serves: 4 

  • 2 (185g) tins tuna, drained
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise or more if needed
  • 1 small apple, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1/4 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

  1. Stir the tuna, olive oil, mayonnaise, apple, onion, pickle and dill together in a bowl until evenly mixed. Season with salt and pepper. You can serve immediately or let it sit overnight for the best flavour.
