    About this recipe: If you love pumpkin pie, you will love this cocktail! Spiced pumpkin is shaken with rum, maple liqueur and single cream, served in a crumbed biscuit rimmed martini glass and garnished with whipped cream.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 1 digestive biscuit, crushed into fine crumbs
    • 3 tablespoons pureed pumpkin
    • 1 pinch pumpkin pie spice
    • 3 tablespoons rum
    • 1 tablespoon maple liqueur, such as Macallan amber whisky liqueur
    • 1 tablespoon single cream
    • 2 tablespoons whipped cream

    Method

    1. Pour the digestive biscuit onto a small, shallow plate. Moisten the rim of 1 chilled martini glass and dip the moistened glass into the digestive biscuit; set aside.
    2. Pour the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, rum, maple liqueur and single cream into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with whipped cream to serve.

    SUPER YUMMY!It is very rich though, so if you don't like rich things you won't like it...I do though so it was amazing!Just like pumpkin pie!The only thing I changed is we couldn't find any maple liquour so we used caramel creme liqour...Still super super yummy!  -  03 Nov 2008  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

    Went to Salem, MA myself and this is what I used when I got home. Follow directions on can of pumpkin and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool and blend really well. Fill shaker with ice and add 1 scoop of pumpkin 1 shot of Goldschlager 3 shots of Baily's 2 shots of Captain Morgan 1 squirt of whipped cream and a drop of milk.     I love most things pumpkin, so I was intrigued by this recipe. The first time I made it with pure pumpkin - don't make that mistake, it was horrible. The recipe should have emphasized to buy the pumpkin pie mix. I add 2T of fat free half and half and sprinkle cinnamon on top of the whipped cream, and it is quite nice!
