    About this recipe: These meatballs are juicy and packed full of flavour. Beef, turkey and sausagemeat are blended together with seasonings, shaped into meatballs, pan-fried and then baked. Serve with tomato sauce and pasta, if desired.

    Serves: 12 

    • 450g minced beef
    • 450g minced turkey
    • 450g fresh Italian sausage, casings removed
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 2 eggs
    • 55g Italian style seasoned breadcrumbs
    • 40g porridge oats
    • 2 tablespoons Italian herb seasoning
    • vegetable oil for frying

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Combine beef, turkey, sausagemeat, onion, eggs, breadcrumbs, oats and seasoning in a large bowl. Shape into 5cm diametre balls.
    3. Heat about 1.25cm vegetable oil in a large frying pan. Brown meatballs in hot oil for about 5 minutes. Transfer to a glass baking dish.
    4. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
