Red Snapper Ceviche

    20 min

This is a simple and delicious no-cook fish dish. It's the Borneo version of the classic ceviche. Red snapper fillets are "cooked" in a seasoned llime juice.

    4 people made this

    Serves: 4

    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1 red onion, chopped
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh root ginger
    • 1 fresh red chilli, finely chopped
    • 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
    • 2 limes, juiced
    • 2 skinned red snapper fillets, cut into thin strips
    • salt to taste

5 stars from me! I was very skeptical that we would like it but tried it anyway because my husband brought home lots of Vermillion snapper. We heaped it on crackers and enjoyed as an appetizer.  -  09 Aug 2011  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
