The best martini ever

    Dry and sweet vermouth are used to coat ice cubes, then they are shaken with gin and served with a green olive. For the best flavour, use the highest quality gin you can find.

    Serves: 4 

    • 225ml gin
    • 1 tablespoon dry vermouth
    • 1 tablespoon sweet vermouth
    • 4 cupfuls ice cubes
    • 4 pimento-stuffed green olives

    1. Fill cocktail shaker with fresh ice cubes. Add the dry and sweet vermouth. Shake enough to coat ice and pour off liquid. Add gin to coated ice in shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into four chilled Martini glasses, garnish with pimiento-stuffed olive and serve.
