About this recipe:A deliciously simple pork recipe. Pork is pan-fried until crisp, then stir-fried with chillies, onions, pepper and seasonings. A wonderful dish to share. Serve with freshly cooked rice.
In a small bowl, mix together the five spice, garlic granules, salt and white pepper. Use to season the pork. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Coat the pork pieces in egg, then dip into cornflour. Set on a plate and chill for 10 minutes.
Heat a large frying pan with 125ml oil over high heat. Pan-fry the pork until they are crisp, 2-3 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to cook until done, 2-3 minutes. Set aside, leaving 2 teaspoons oil in the pan.
Heat the pan over high heat and stir-fry the chillies and garlic until fragrant, 2-3 minutes. Stir in the onion and salt, cook until soft, 2-3 minutes. Add the green pepper and pepper, stir until the mixture is dry. Add the pork, seasoned salt and mix well. Serve.
Very tasty! I would suggest frying the onions first and then adding garlic so the garlic is less likely to burn, using more cornstarch (you call it corn flour) to coat each piece before frying, and also frying the coated pork chops 2.5 min on each side on high instead of 2-3 min on high, then 2-3 min on medium if you want a more crispy pork chop.
