If I know that I'm not going to have any time to cook next evening, I prepare this in advance and then all I have to do is stick it in the oven. Very practical and always delicious.

traditional Dutch/Flemish food...we call it witlof ( whiteleave)...boil the witlof, ( 20 min ) cut them in halves put cheese in the middle, wrap in ham......easy... with or without the oven bit... with the oven bit...I guess boil them for a shorter period...don't forget to drain them...or you will flood your plate - 04 May 2016
