For this heavenly dessert use frozen blueberries to enjoy it at any time of year. Fresh blueberries can also be used. It's a lovely crumble served warm with custard or vanilla ice cream.

1kg fresh or frozen blueberries
50g dark brown soft sugar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
175g dark brown soft sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg, or to taste
50g porridge oats

Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5.
Mix the blueberries with 50g brown sugar and lemon zest in a large bowl. Place into a greased baking dish.
Work the butter, 100g flour, 175g brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and porridge oats into a crumble. Spread over the blueberries and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until it bubbles. Serve warm.
