Goat's Cheese and Spinach Turkey Burgers

    Only three ingredients, but these burgers are heavenly. A tasty and healthy alternative to beefburgers.

    Serves: 4 

    • 675g (1 1/2 lb) minced turkey breast
    • 175g (6 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
    • 75g (3 oz) soft goat's cheese, crumbled

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

    1. Preheat the oven grill.
    2. In a medium bowl, mix minced turkey, spinach and goat cheese. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
    3. Arrange patties in baking dish or tray, and place under grill. Grill for 15 minutes, or until browned on both sides.

    Really yummy I made these with fresh spinach because I didn't have any frozen. I also addded a 1/4 teaspoon if nutmeg and an egg to bind. Lovely!!!  -  30 Oct 2012


    I liked these, but found them a little bland. I will make them again but with onion and pepper.  -  04 Feb 2013


    Really delicious. Made changes based on others suggestions. I used fresh baby spinach that I sauted with a bit of onion and red pepper, doubled amount of goat cheese, added about 1/2C seasoned bread crumbs and one egg. I didn't add salt or pepper. The cheese is salty enough and I used 5 peppercorn goat cheese I bought at the Farmer's Market. It wasn't super easy to form the patties, but I got the hang of it and was able to get 5. Put them on a cookie sheet and into the fridge for a couple of hours. Fantastic surprise of flavors. Very, very good. ***UPDATE-I have found that it is important not to over cook the burgers in order for them to stay moist.
