About this recipe:This is a fabulous waffle recipe with maple syrup right in the waffle. The ground almonds and cornflour ensure a lovely texture. I recently made these waffles for a friend's birthday and everyone wanted the recipe. So here it is.
100g softened butter
6 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
100g ground almonds
1 pinch of salt

Beat the butter until fluffy. Add the maple syrup.
Separate the eggs. Mix the yolks with the butter and vanilla until frothy.
Mix the flour, cornflour and baking powder. Mix the almonds and cream. Work all of this with the yolk mixture with an electric mixer into a smooth mixture.
Whisk egg whites with salt and fold into the batter.
Cook in portions in a preheated and greased waffle iron until golden brown.
