About this recipe: Herb butter tastes wonderfully delicious on warm soda bread, bread rolls, baked potatoes, sandwiches or simple grilled meats. It keeps in the fridge for about 10 days. It's especially nice to serve at a dinner party or Sunday lunch.


Serves: 10 

  • 1 bunch chives, very finely chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, very finely chopped
  • 250g butter, room temperature
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, pressed through garlic press
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  1. Stir the butter with the other ingredients, spoon into a small bowl, cover with cling film and leave to set in the fridge.
